KSD-A is a vertical automatic edge processing machine for sealing and grinding of glass, developed for high capacity, precise processing, and stable operation. The machine is optimized for use after glass cutting and for integration into insulating glass lines, but can also be used as a standalone solution.
The core of KSD-A is LiSEC's patented LiTEC slider technology, which ensures smooth and precise edge sealing and grinding – regardless of the quality of the finished cut glass. The floating tools are fed against the glass using water pressure, which provides optimal adaptation, high edge strength, and uniform surface quality.
The machine is built in a modular design and consists of a process tower with high-speed X-axis for glass transport and one or two processing heads mounted on separate vertical axes. For maximum capacity, KSD-A can be delivered in a High Speed (HS) version with two processing heads for the shortest possible cycle times.
Automatic measurement of the glass is carried out continuously during transport, and the machine can process different glass thicknesses without tool changes. Flexible tool configuration, easy access to tools, and optimal water sealing of all axes contribute to high availability and low maintenance costs.
KSD-A can be adapted to different glass formats and production needs, with the possibility of modular extension of the glass length via additional transport sections. This makes the machine suitable for both high-volume production and flexible manufacturing environments.
