Diamond grinding wheels for glass

At Per Mordt, we supply diamond grinding wheels from Diamut developed for stable and precise edge processing. The grinding wheels are used in production where there are requirements for controlled material removal, stable geometry, and smooth surface finish.

The correct construction of the wheel – segment design, binder, and grit – is crucial to ensure efficient grinding and reduced chipping. Diamut supplies grinding wheels in diameters from 25 mm to 200 mm, suitable for monolithic, laminated, and tempered glass, and adapted to CNC machines, vertical machines, and double-sided edge machines.

An efficient production process combines rough grinding, calibration, and fine grinding to achieve optimal edge quality. The choice of the right grinding wheel affects cycle time, tool life, and final result.

For special requirements – such as processing laminated glass or specific edge profiles – solutions developed for stable operation and high performance are supplied. Upon request, custom-made grinding wheels can also be developed based on machine and process requirements.
