Single-sided edge processing machine for precise glass grinding

Biesse Intermac Edge Pro S F50 is a high-performance single-sided edge processing machine developed for precise grinding, polishing, and chamfering of flat glass edges. The machine is designed for production environments that require high quality, flexibility, and operational reliability – both for visible edges and technical glass applications.

Edge Pro S F50 is available in several versions with different tool configurations and automation levels, including 10AV, 11A, and 14AV. Depending on the chosen version, the machine can be equipped with up to 14 spindles, making it possible to perform flat edge, arris, and beveling in one continuous process.

The machine handles glass thicknesses from 3 to 40 mm as standard, and up to 51 mm in selected configurations. The variable processing angle from 0 to 45° provides great flexibility in the production of architectural glass, railings, interior glass, and safety glass.

Edge Pro S F50 is equipped with Biesse's Spindle Control System (SCS), which automatically adjusts diamond and polishing spindles for optimal pressure control and a smooth surface finish. The spindles are mechanically separated from the motors and driven via a belt, which reduces vibrations and contributes to high and stable edge quality over time.

The double drive system for glass transport ensures precise synchronization and stable feeding, even when processing heavy glass – up to 350 kg per meter of conveyor belt. The machine can be delivered with solutions for jumbo glass and integrated into automated production lines, tailored to the desired production flow and capacity.
